For all those Harry Potter fans out there...these books are great. Although the quidditch book was kind of like a textbook, it was still really great to find out the ideas of where it came from. But, the book about beasts was GREAT. I loved learning about all of the cool animals in the magic world, but I have to confess...the commentary by Hermione, Ron, and Harry was so funny. Great for anyone. "It's a book thing."This book is better than Fantastic beasts in the Hogwarts Library collections. It's interesting to know the history of the golden snitch as it came from the bird snidget. Read to complete the Magical series by our beloved Jo.
I rate these books as 3 or 5 stars. 5 stars are given if you want to imerse yourself in the worl of Harry Potter, these books add depth to the novels. If read independantly or for readers that are not Harry Potter fans, the books are not interesting to hold there own.
Quidditch through the Ages - Wonderful. I love reading about the extensive history of that magical sport we all know or of which we are unaware, and either love or hate or somewhere in between.Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - The content is great, but the best parts are Harry and Ron's scribbles.
The most recent Harry Potter books to be released was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which came out during the summer of 2000. The next book in the series of seven, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has been slated for a summer/fall 2002 release. The question remains to the many, man fans is what to read in the meantime? Fortunately J. K. Rowling has produced two chapbooks, Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them, whose proceeds go towards Comic
Also love to learn more about the Harry Potter world. Love that you can find out other parts of the story
I give these two books three stars mostly because they're meant to be funny and I don't actually find myself laughing at them. They're entertaining, sure, but funny? Eh. But what I love about them is how much more they flesh out Rowling's world. There's so much of the Wizarding World you just can't see when you're looking through a single schoolboy's eyes, and it's amazing seeing how much thought she put into everything. This is the kind of in-depth worldbuilding I can only aspire to. :)
