Rendition In Pursuance Of Books Wolf Island (The Demonata #8)
Because it’s like the eighth in the series, I’m going to give it a quick review. Characters: 8/10 Told from Grubbs’s point of view we already know most of the characters, so it’s nice to see how they are changing and facing the situation. Writing: 8/10 How he described some of the scenes, especially what Grubbs was feeling. WOW! I felt as if I was actually in Grubbs’s head. Plot: 9/10 This book is told from Grubbs’s point of view once again, and this has my book has my favourite scene out of the entire series (not going to spoil it for people that haven’t read it), but this book was amazing, it probably had one of the best plots. Wolf Island, god that place is amazing. How the author describes it. WOW! The plot was also original, especially considering the fact that it’s the eighth in the series. Enjoy-ability: 8/10 As always, I enjoyed it, probably more than I did the last couple of books. I was beginning to get a bit sick of the series, but this book pulled me right back in. Just, remember this book isn’t for everyone, but for those it is, it is once again a huge success. And I think you’ll agree with me.

Reviewed by delil1 (TCRC)Ok, so Grubbs is the narrator for this book. Wolf Island takes place at the same time as Death's Shadow it tells what Grubbs was doing while Bec was with Dervish. He has accepted his role as magician and is in the demon universe with Beranabus trying to find info on the Shadow. But when word about the attack on dervish and Bec reach them they return to save them. Another great book in the Demonata series. The overall story is pieced together from narratives from the different main characters - for example, a part of Wolf Island is set before the happenings of Death's Shadow (the seventh book), and some of it after. Even though it's been a while since I read Death's Shadow, it's not that hard to understand what goes where. As always, the book is filled with absolutely disgusting scenes and plenty of action. What a great way to break up the story a little bit. Providing a but of a detour which furthers the story and the struggles of the characters but also means we don't rush a conclusion. The turn of the Lambs is an interesting one and works very well. Especially as throughout the previous books you're taught to hate and dislike Prae Athim, leading to you thinking the same here, and it's a pleasant surprise when that's not the case. I feel like this and the previous book could all of been done within one slightly longer book, switching between narrators each chapter to see what the groups were doing. The beginning of this book basically starts with a recap/before the events of the event in the last book and then showed them splitting into two groups: this time focusing on Grubbs instead of Bec. I got very confused at first and ended up looking at a few reviews to see if I was going crazy or if the start was very similar.

This series has been on a roll since book 6 and this book takes it's place as my favourite in the series so far. Going back to the point of view of Grubbs helped. Learning more about the Lambs and the werewolves was nice, and the story along with the characters (especially Shark and Timas) was very good. The way some of the scenes (especially on Wolf Island) are described is brilliant, really makes you feel like you're there. While I'm not a huge fan of the changes that Grubbs went through I
