Rendition In Favor Of Books Misguided Angel (Blue Bloods #5)
After inheriting the dark Van Alen Legacy, Schuyler fled to Florence with her forbidden love, Jack. Now the two of them must embark on the mission Schuyler was destined to complete: to find and protect the five remaining gates that guard the earth from Lucifer, lord of the Silver Bloods. Back in New York, Mimi has been elected Regent of a crumbling coven. Struggling with her heartache over the loss of Kingsley and with her overwhelming desire to destroy Jack, she must focus all of her energy on a perilous new threat. Vampires are being abducted and their captors are planning to burn them alive online...for all the world to see. Help arrives in the form of Deming Chen, a Venator from Shanghai, who must untangle the web of deceptions before the killers strike again. As the young vampires struggle for the survival of the coven, they uncover a deadly secret, a truth first discovered by Schuyler’s mother during the Renaissance but kept buried for centuries. And as the Blue Blood enclave weakens yet further, fate leads Schuyler to a terrible choice that will ultimately map the destiny of her heart.

Rating: ☺☺☺☺- Intense!Faster, Less Detailed Review: Misguided Angel is an intense fifth installment to the Blue Bloods Series, filled with new dilemmas; lots of suspicion; answer-seeking missions; significant legacies; dangerous, abrupt murders; seven demon-proofing gates of Hell; and...the Petruvian Order. Fans will love this severely action-packed fifth book and the blend of old and new characters coming forth, and will find that that Melissa De La Cruz did not disappoint.Summary of theSadly, i was debating with a 2? Don't get me wrong this book was amazing. Amazing.. but short, and short of my expectations. Let's rewind, shall we? (Don't worry no spoilers) We start of with Schuyler and Jack, YAY! i wanted to see what happens after the previous book. What an awful cliffhanger. ANYWAY, that was dangerous, intresting, sweet, romantic? I can't explain it, but that was the amazing part of the book. I think this book lacked some plot and talked more about connections, friendships,
This book is what I like to call stretching out a thin plot in order to sell more books. Not a lot happened. The book is three storylines in one - Jack and Schuyler on the run, Mimi and the peeps back home and newbie Deming Chen.Jack and Schuyler were so dang boring, they made me want to poke out my eyeballs. Mimi's storyline was slightly more interesting - I liked her interactions with Oliver. Deming Chen was the most interesting, although is book 5 really the time to introduce a new character?

I've never liked the series very much, mainly because of those clothes digressions and useless descriptions, but the story wasn't so bad, so I kept reading. I thought the author was just showing off a bit and well, it's not like I know much about fashion, so it was a little annoying, but I could just skip that and give for granted she knew what she was talking about. Now, here's the fifth book, and where are we? Italy, my country, apparently the new trend. I knew from the beginning it would end
I do not exaggerate when I say that absolutely nothing happens in this book to advance the overall plot, very disappointing. I would be annoyed if I had actually purchased this novel. Barely worth the read. The writing is trite and cliched in the extreme. Teenagers act like they are 50, which I guess I could accept had that been the case from the start of the series, but it wasn't.
This was a good arcing book (which if you have ever read her website that is rather her platform for writing -- lots of twists then summarizing/completing then sets forth new plot twists). With that said there were really 4 components of the novel (Sky&Jack, Mimi&Oliver, *insert new character*, then a "where they are at/doing")Sky and Jack - first have to escape then they set off on continuing Sky's legacy that was left behind from her gradfather. You see the love that her and Jack
